Keeping Records Alive

The Story

Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, I grew up in the ’70s and ’80s when record stores were part of everyday life. Between road trips with my parents, listening to music with my brothers, and being a sports fan, I was lucky to be near the Football Hall of Fame in Canton and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — a mix that shaped my love for music and community. Over 20 years ago, I moved to Las Vegas, where collecting turned into something more — a passion for the hunt, the stories, and the connection with other music lovers.

Through my wife, Connie, I discovered Boulder City, and it quickly felt like home. We started small inside a local antique shop before opening CS RecordZ on Nevada Way about 10 months ago. Today, I love being part of this community, talking music every day, and helping keep vinyl alive.

Guardian of the Crates

The Story

From the depths of dusty crates and forgotten collections rises Vinyl Man — the guardian of analog sound. Armed with his sonic senses and a deep love for the groove, he battles scratched, warped, and dirty records wherever they hide. His greatest enemies? The Digital Demons — soulless forces trying to erase the warmth, crackle, and soul of real music. But Vinyl Man stands strong… restoring, rescuing, and reviving vinyl one record at a time.

When he’s not saving collections, you can catch him making special appearances around CS RecordZ — and keeping the vibe alive as a familiar face at Open Mic Night every Thursday. Because to Vinyl Man… Vinyl isn’t just music — it’s a mission.
